The Snuggleys Go Camping

Just like that ! The Snuggleys decided to go camping, especially as the camping factory upgraded its sleeping bags to two Cozies. The Snuggleys bought everything there from the special Snuggley line of camping goods, first class and soft as can be. They headed off for the woods beyond the pond, which was actually just next to their house.

They wanted to camp in their own back yard so they would not have to be afraid for their first night out camping under the canopy of the great sky.

So they loaded all their camping supplies and some of their best, good lucky stuff into their station wagon. This was the station wagon with the especially, professionally plumped seats, with Mrs. Snuggley comfortably at the wheel, who drove some fifty feet to their campsite.

Mrs. Snuggley wanted to do everything, but Mr. Snuggley wanted to have fun too so they set up their tent together. Working side by side, husband and wife erected a lovely blue tent.

After they had set up camp and made themselves coffee on their camper's gas stove, they raced down the hill to the pond, fishing poles in hand. Wow ! Soon they had caught a big fish for dinner.

They were so tired that night and it felt so good to fall into a deep sleep in their cozy tent. And it was good to know that they would be home tomorrow for lunch. As she fell asleep Mrs. Snuggley whispered so that Mr. Snuggley.could hear:"Camping sure is fun !"

In the morning the Snuggleys awakened feeling as warm and cozy as they had when they fell asleep. They prepared a delicious breakfast and the coffee smelled as good as the bacon and eggs tasted.

Soon they were ready to climb into the small canoe they had tied to a tree at the corner of their pond. For over an hour Mr. Snuggley navigated the pond and Mrs. Snuggley paddled a little so as to help her husband. In the middle of the pond they unwrapped their sandwiches and ate a hardy lunch, pleased to change their original plan of eating lunch at home. They were beginning to feel as if all out-doors was indeed also their home.

As it was they did not get back into the car until after they had eaten dinner at their campsite. They packed everything only an hour or two before dark and arrived home just in time to crawl into their clean warm beds. They were utterly exhausted with the fun of a little trip which they were sure to always remember.
