A VERY DISMAL PROSPECT
I sit in absolute wonder, jaw dropped, with a glazed look
in my eye whenever I hear the pundits on TV talk about any of the issues facing
us as Citizens of the United States, and of the World. To make myself clear, I
am about to enumerate what I see as the things we all face in the most
terrifying future I can describe, and as I see it:
WAR- We threw the proverbial "rock at the hornets
nest" when we allowed our country to invade the sovereign nation of Iraq.
With that infusion of devastating violence and death we soured the entire
continent of Arabia, more precisely guaranteed their undying requirement for
revenge. We can never undo this heinous wrong, nor its effect on the future.
Our volunteer army and our mercenaries combined cannot defeat the growing
call among the damaged in Afghanistan, Iraq and now Pakistan being raised by Salafis and Al Qaeda.
The belief that this is a Holy War against Islam is an idea that has
reverberated throughout the Mideast. They will never be convinced otherwise.
Freedom to them is not defined by who is ahead on America Has Talent. They
do not want their women treated like we treat ours. Our women are slaves to
self objectification and sell themselves hook line and sinker in every
effort they make, social and familial.
WWIII is looming on the horizon and 40,000 more troops will not help.
600,000 might, but a draft would be met with violent resistance here, and
they know it. We are in this for the long haul. We made a big mistake
letting this genie out of the bottle. When war and violence combine with
religious antagonism a war is emerging that will rival the concept of the
Crusades of yore in scope and destructive power. Ask yourself; could all
this have been avoided? If your answer is yes, ask if you were in any
fashion complicit! If not you are still going to be effected by the die that
was cast in Iraq.
Last week, the Pentagon said "America's dependence on fossil fuels is the
single greatest threat to our National Security. Where can you go from here
except to demand the truth from your "so called Representatives".
THE ECONOMY - Capitalism is dead in the water, as we
now practice it. Old relationships that predate anything current dictate the
way all politicians deal with the Ruling Class of Bankers they have given
all your children’s future earnings to.
Now they (those who take our money under the guise of managing our
governmental needs and affairs) say the recession is ended but unemployment
is over 10% nationally. Your current President has said there will be no
more stimulus packages, which tells you the rich needed bail outs and you
get nothing.
When the unemployment checks run dry and there are no jobs, what then
becomes of us? They still say we should save, but then they say we should
spend and we are blamed not only for not saving but then we are blamed for
hoarding and not spending and thus we are responsible for our own problems,
even if it is because we are broke. Do you see any light at the end of this
tunnel?
HEALTHCARE – 40 years ago I lived in Europe for a
short while. Europeans all have had Public Option Healthcare for over half a
century that I know of. They were not unable to afford it. Have you once
considered that not 1000 miles from nearly every American sits the huge
nation of Canada. They too have a Public Health plan. Have you ever heard so
many as ONE person ask "How do they do it?" Why not? Because THEY do not
want you to have free healthcare. They work for those who sell healthcare
and they do not give a flying flak about you! Consider this: You can buy
drugs in schoolyards but not a Monte Christo De Havana Cigar anywhere! See,
they don’t want Cuban Cigars in the United States so there are none. If it
walks like a Duck and talks like a Duck, guess what? It is a goddamned Duck!
They do not care if you drop dead in the street, so long as it doesn’t get
in the way of their stride, and if you think otherwise, have yourself
tattooed with your social security # and save them the trouble.
HOPE FOR THE FUTURE – People must stop their selfish
ways. It is working against their interests. Learn to talk freely about your
troubles to your family and your friends. Start asking things of yourselves.
Remember that it all starts with understanding that if you mess with another
they will mess with you. The other side of that is – if you connect with
another they will connect with you and that can spread and some day a group
of people may rise in America that realize they are no longer represented by
the lawyers who were wealthy enough to run for positions in our
"representative government". No one can change this unless we all start by
demanding our problems be solved. Do not settle for slavery; as Americans
you are not built for that, and will not like it.
